On June 1992 a group of shipping engineering professionals established
NEPTUNE TECHNICAL AGENCIES LTD, a company offering technical
expertise to shipping companies and representing shipyards in the Greek
Market.
Neptune commenced its activities by marketing Polish Ship Repair Yard RADUNIA S.A., which was exclusively represented in the Greek and Cyprus Markets. Radunia was offering repairs and conversions at Gdansk and dockings for Panamax size ships at Gdynia Shipyard 240×40 DD. We continued arranging repairs of Panamax size ships in Gdynia DD under new owners EPG Shipyard until 2013 when Yard was sold to Mars Fund.
Neptune was the pioneer of foreign ship repairs at Klaipeda, Lithuania, having arranged on March 1993 a Greek-owned bulk carrier, the largest ever to call at this Yard and country for dry-docking and special survey works at Western Shiprepair Yard (WSY). (WSY), now Western Shipyard, is part of BLRT Group of repair yards together with Tallinn Shipyard, Estonia, and Turku Shipyard at Naantali, Finland.
We exclusively represented at the Greek Shipping Market the BLRT Group of Shipyards and their associated companies in the Baltic States and Finland and promoted their facilities for repair and docking projects. Most of our repair activities for Greek-managed ships were carried out at Klaipeda, Lithuania, due to the availability of three floating docks, now upgraded with capacity for Post Panamax and Panamax ships and comprehensive workshop facilities, including the only in-house propeller repair workshop in the Baltic.
Riga Shipyard at Riga , Latvia has about 2000 meters of lay by berth facilities able to accommodate Aframax size ships for afloat repairs and dock Panamax size ships where we arranged numerous dockings until 2019 when the Panamax FD was sold.
We undertake afloat repairs at all the Baltic Sea ports either at dedicated layby berths or during cargo operations with NEPTUNE SERVICES UAB based at Klaipeda.
Other areas of our repair activities are in North Europe also at East Med Turkey, Bulgaria, Romania and Ukraine in the Black Sea.
China –Singapore –Indonesia and Vietnam we work for Docking and repairs at selected Shipyards with which we have long cooperation.
US Gulf and the Caribbean since 1995 we are offering docking and repairs also afloat works and maintenance at Santo Domingo Dominican Republic through our principals Hispaniola Marine Repair Services.
