Tree Energy Solutions (TES) and CPC Finland have a joint venture, Luoto Energia, to develop a large-scale project in Finland producing electric natural gas (e-NG) from renewable hydrogen and CO2.

As stated, the project supports decarbonizing maritime and industrial sectors and is expected to create 1,000+ construction jobs and 40 permanent jobs. The plant, located at the Port of Rauma, will have a 500 MW electrolyser capacity, producing about 60,000 tons of green hydrogen and over 125,000 tons of e-NG annually.

Permitting is underway, aiming for pre-FEED in 2026 and final investment by 2028. Finland’s supportive regulatory environment promotes renewable
